Stephen Fraser

Fraser, founder and Managing Director of Barrington Capital Partners, LLC (“BCP”) serves on multiple private and private equity boards of directors and advises public and private companies. Fraser led the turn-around as interim CEO of $1.4B revenue, publicly traded, Horizon Lines (largest Jones Act container shipping company serving Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Alaska) for nearly two years, completing the assignment in mid 2012.  Previously, Fraser led a revitalization of GENCO’s reverse logistics businesses and spent nearly a decade in private equity leading a number of platform companies in the logistics and transportation space.  

Prior to his tenure in private equity, Fraser built a third-party bulk logistics business for GATX Corporation, having previously sold his environmental transportation business to GATX Capital.   Previously, Fraser spent 10 years working for international container and associated pooled asset giant, GE Seacontainers, in both the US and UK.

Fraser is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and past speaker at this organization’s annual conferences and is an active member in the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).

Fraser and his wife, a pediatric occupational therapist, live in Barrington, Illinois and are thankful parents of three grown children.  He is active in his local church, community and a variety of not-for-profit organizations focused on the under-resourced and social impact investing.  He is an active outdoorsman, an aspiring (but not particularly talented) fly fisherman, and is a vintage sports car enthusiast.

John Klyczek

John B Klyczek-200x3002John B. Klyczek, Partner, is a quantitative senior leader with over 30 years of experience in private-equity, large public (NYSE), large privately held, and entrepreneurial start-up businesses.  As a former CFO, COO, SVP, and executive consultant, Klyczek has spent most of his career in supply chain and logistics in multiple areas including finance / accounting, operations, information technology, and strategy development.  As the acting CFO and COO for GENCO’s pharmaceutical business unit, Klyczek led the transformation of their financial processes and reduced labor costs by over 90% over a 4-year period via the implementation of labor management systems (LMS), labor planning systems, and incentive systems.  As an executive consultant to the larger GENCO corporation, Klyczek led a number of strategic initiatives for various business units in areas such as IT, customer profitability, pricing, strategic planning, transportation optimization, warehouse management, shared services implementation, and LEAN projects.  Prior to GENCO, Klyczek was the COO for a group of private equity-owned 3PL’s.  Klyczek also assisted in the development of a bulk logistics business within GATX as the VP of Strategic Initiatives and IT.  Prior to GATX Klyczek spent a number of years with Inland Steel Industries (now Mittal Steel) in various leadership roles in purchasing, materials planning, logistics, IT, development of new green-field start-ups, and corporate planning.

Klyczek and his wife, a middle school religion teacher, live in Munster, Indiana and have 2 children in college.   He is a sports buff and enjoys watching his daughter, an All-Big Ten tennis player at Indiana University.  Klyczek also coaches AAU basketball and is an avid fisherman.
